Stay far away from Soda or soft drinks

Its amazing really that soda drinks ever took off like they did. It used to be a simple treat you would get and drink every now and then but now people drink it in some cases more than water itself. This is very very bad for your health. If you think diet is any better your fooling yourself. Diet is wayyyyy worse for you than any regular soda. Sugar is better for you than the poisons they put in diets to sweeten it.

I notice soooo many people who are overweight drinking these things and its not just overweight people. These drinks do make you overweight. Most of the people whether overweight or not do not know that these drinks are really harmful to your body and your diet.




Yeah just because your not getting fat off these does not mean its good for your body! I have to admit I drink them every now and then. We really never buy them ourselves though so its not too often. Personally when I do drink them I have learned that really its both nasty and great tasting. Yes it tastes great going down but other than that it just does not quench thirst.

So you might wonder what makes them so bad for you other than a serious amount of extra calories.

Caffeine for one is bad for you. Its addictive and makes you tired. Yes caffeine makes you tired. You can compare caffeine like this. You get in a airplane and go sky diving but you do not have a parachute. Your taken up to your high point and dropped and you hit hard. You sink lower than you did before drinking any caffeine. You know the whole effect of you hitting the ground and sinking in ha ha….

Also just for kicks I will throw this in. A apple in the morning will wake you up more than any caffeine drink such as coffee or soda. It probably works just as well in the day time too. Its just something I read that might help you out. Plus apples are good for you.

Next up on the unhealthy ingredient list in sodas is: Phosphoric acid

Phosphoric acid is a chemical that adds a tangy or sour flavor by breaking down starches into sugar.
This stuff eats enamel off of teeth and takes calcium out of the bones which in some people probably can cause Kidney stones. Put some meat in some cola overnight and watch it dissolve it.

And one of the worst ingredients is: High fructose corn syrup

This stuff is a dirt cheap flavoring ingredient thats worse for you than real sugar. Its a refined sugar. Infact any refined sugar is bad for you believe it or not. Buy the un-refined stuff in your grocery store.
This syrup ads lots of taste AND lots of calories. Its also bad for your health. Its in lots of foods is the problem and its very bad for you. If you only knew what you ate.

Dr Pepper, calories 150, sugar grams 39

Sprite, calories 150, sugar grams 39

Pepsi, calories 150, sugar grams 40

Mountain Dew, calories 165, sugar grams 46

If you were to drink 24 ounces with a meal at a fast food restaurant you would be eating almost as much as a regular whopper at Burger King. It has 670 calories. 160 of those calories are from mayo.

Stick with water or if you want something sugary that quenches do what I do and drink gatorade(14 grams of sugar!)

    I’ve been drinking coke ever since I was about 7 years old. I’m 30 yrs old now and I just recently tried cutting down about 2 years ago. I know soda is bad for you but honestly I can’t even tell the difference ever since I cut down. I did notice that I get sleepy a lot faster now. LOL
