This one is just one of many accidental deaths caused by rides. This 17 year old guy lost his hat on the batman ride. For the most part hats are cheap and easily replaceable so there was no need to worry unless his hat was special. He should have asked someone to get it for him but most parks wont do this for you for anything unless maybe its your wallet with your drivers liscense, cash and credit cards in it.
Basically they wont do it unless its something really needed and really important which is not a hat.
When I get on a ride everything is secured either in my hand or in a zipper pocket on my pants. This kid must not have done this as he lost his hat.
Well he really wanted his hat. So what does he do? He looks at those signs that say they wont get your item and decides to go get the hat himself. Even though it probably says to stay out he just was going to get his hat and come back. So he climbs over the fence only to get his head knocked off and killed by the ride.
This story confuses me. For one it takes so many minutes for the ride to “GET AROUND” the track so why didn’t he go as soon as it started or after it went by where his hat was. Then I wonder why he did not simply watch it go by and THEN grab his hat. Then I can wonder why he did not “CHECK WHERE THE COASTER WAS ON THE TRACK” BEFORE bending over to grab his hat. Whatever the reason he sadly got killed by the Batman roller coaster at Six Flags over Georgia.

Just in case you have been living under a rock and have not heard it has been a bad year for corn. Corn likes water not too much and not too little. In my part of the country here in South Carolina we have had hardly any water. Well at least not in Ware Shoals. This is the second year without much summer rain. We seem to have GREAT springs but not much rain in the summer.

I did not know sony would take such a hit. It just shows how much money a company can lose and still keep fighting. 3.3 billion is a lot of money to lose. I have read it is common to lose money on the console itself and then make it up on the games. Microsoft I think also took a nice sized hit on the Xbox 360 game console. But Microsofts game console did not cost them to lose this much that I know of.
I still find it hard to believe 3.3 billion.
The Playstation 3 game console is very nice and has great graphics. But even at 60-70+ bucks retail price for each game(it varies) can they make up 3.3 billion that the Playstation 3 console lost and then turn a profit? Sony is a bit worried and so are investors. Maybe Sony should have waited to release the Playstation 3 when the costs of the CPU and graphics cards that go into it were cheaper.
Be sure and comment if you like the post or have anything to say.

I dont know about you but I have a LOT of bookmarks. I did finally learn you can use the scroller in the center of your mouse to speed up the process of going down the bookmarks list. A lot of them I do not use often or even need them(its time to go through them and clean up my list) but for the ones I do they are all mixed up.

Top 10 reasons you should use Firefox over Internet Explorer
Firefox is a amazing browser. I managed to find it during its early days, before even version 1.0.
I really liked the tabbed browsing and since I had dial up this really helped to speed up my browsing. Firefox was small then and did not have much market
share. It still may not have much today but Microsoft is finally paying some attention to the little browser.
Back a couple of years ago when I started to use it
Microsoft said it had no intentions to ever release a new version of Internet Explorer. When firefox started gaining market share and a lot of attention they wised up
and released IE 7 and it also had tabs.
Still IE 7 does not have many features of firefox and that brings me into reason number 1 on my list:

Sticking with my theme here I want to show you all something unique. Or rather amazing, these people can really play! I came across these videos on youtube and I was just amazed. I know that someone does make this music but for a regular person to copy it so well and not even on the same type of instrument is what is amazing. Read the rest of this entry »

“Dr. Fredric J. Baur was so proud of having designed the container for Pringles potato crisps that he asked his family to bury him in one.”(http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080531/NEWS0104/805310357/1060/NEWS01)
Its a sorta funny story. The guy who came up with ways to package and the pringles can itself had his remains cremated and some of the ashes put in a pringles can. Its what he wanted.

This is a true story. Its not made up. Its real comical too.
I have always liked money. When I was young I thought I was rich when I had lots of quarters and dimes. Even then though I knew it was not just about the amount of “coins” I had but the value of the coins themselves which would add up to a total. Read the rest of this entry »
